We are sad to inform you that Dr. Carranza-Chahal will no longer be caring for patients at Copperstate after 8/31/2022. At this time, she plans to practice as a hospitalist physician and will not provide care to women outside of the hospital setting.
We wish her the best and will miss having her here at Copperstate! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will be happy to schedule your follow-up care with another of our excellent physicians.
In March 1992, Dr. Karen Addis and her husband Dr. Walt Patton opened Copperstate OB/GYN, a premier women’s healthcare facility focused on providing exceptional care and expert guidance to women of all ages. Today, Dr. Addis & her team celebrate 30 years of empowering and supporting women throughout every stage of life by launching I Am Woman: A Celebration of Womanhood.
After opening Copperstate almost 30 years ago, Dr. Addis will be retiring at the end of 2021. We truly appreciate her endless commitment to women’s health and mentoring of all the providers at Copperstate.
“It is bittersweet for our Copperstate family to announce that after 41 years of OB/GYN practice in Tucson, Dr. Karen Addis will be retiring at the end of this year. She and her husband founded Copperstate almost 30 years ago, and in addition to caring for the women of Tucson, she has trained, mentored, and supported all of the physicians and providers at Copperstate. Her great surgical skills and empathetic patient care have made her an incredible role model. Her calm, gentle, and kind ways have been a steady presence in our office. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with her and learn from her. We wish her much happiness and fulfillment in the next phase of her life.” – Dr. Kathy Farias
“The legacy of care continues, with a wonderful group of doctors, nurse practitioners and PAs. We have a camaraderie and legacy of care, quality and hope. Each one of us loves what we do, and I hope and pray that continues on after I retire at the end of this year.” – Dr. Addis
Copperstate OB/Gyn is excited to announce the launch of our Facebook Community – Tucson Women: Healthy Living.
Each day we’re fielding questions on various health topics from our patients. We wanted to create a place to answer these pregnancy, self-care and lifestyle questions and highlight our providers unique perspectives on health topics they’re passionate about.
Tucson Women: Healthy Living provides an intimate educational space for women to learn from the Copperstate physicians, physician assistants (PACs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), ask questions within the community, share resources and feel empowered with the information they need to live a healthy life.
